Where Bloggers Create Party 2011

Welcome to the party hosted by Karen of My Desert Cottage
Here's a little peek inside my studio.
French seam binding kept in candy jars really is eye candy!
My love of all things garden brought this bird feeder in to be repurposed as a card holder.
My note board that holds bits of inspiration and souvenirs.
Yummy items from Tinkered Treasures by no other than Elyse of Cottage.
My favorite one word saying, "Believe"!

  My new palette.
My desk, coffee an absolute necessity and the inspiration of
Jeanne de Arc Living!
Opposite my desk are these cute benches.
My husband made both of them! He's a keeper.

You really cant have too much fabric~And there is more!
And that is where I make these! Yes, Christmas is just around the corner! I hope you enjoyed your visit. Be sure to visit
My Desert Cottage for more inspiration.

Romantic Farmhouse coming soon!

I grew up in the city and as a young person always loved the lights and hustle and bustle but as I got older I longed for a slower pace, perhaps even simplicity. Moving to the countryside isn't an option at this time but where I live now is the next best thing.
I live in the hills just north of Orange County and am fortunate to
have the best of  what the city offers and the quiet neighborhood
with a countryside feel.

Longing for the farmhouse lifestyle has inspired my new collection
for Fall 2011, "Romantic Farmhouse".
I love this color it's called Stone. My home doesn't look a thing like a farmhouse. Built in the late 60's it is true to what was poplar at the time. Slowly I'm trying to make it warmer and cozier without a major overhaul.

Feminine and romantic but not over done. This design will be available in Barely Pink, Robin's Egg, Sage, Sand and  Stone.

What is your favorite home decor style?

My yard in the summer

I love how the sun shines down and creates this yellow glow.
 Follow the yellow flowered path.

I threw wildflower seeds out and was surprised to find this

and this!
I love these cascading petunias.
I hope you are having a wonderful summer.
Have you visited Sugar Pink Boutique? She has the best bits of baubles and bliss.

The Vintage Marketplace

Well now that my computer is somewhat behaving again I can finally show you the pictures from Christie Repasy & Rita Reade's Vintage Market Place. Since my camera (like everything else I own) was misbehaving I didnt get very many photos but here's a few of the beautiful flea!

The Vintage Marketplace is the prettiest Flea in So. Cal!

Back in action!

Tigger aka Mr. Helpful!

Thankfully all the electronic items in my little world are back to normal. Oh yes, I forgot to tell you that after everything went south, my refrigerator decided to join the party too.
Wow, it was hectic.
But finally I am back to work trying to finish my Holiday preview catalog and thought you might get a little chuckle from my helper that really isnt any help!

He simply must sniff everything thoroughly!

I think he's about done so I can finish up, I'd better hurry before something catches his fancy!

It's meltdown time here at the cottage!

I really wish I was here right now!

Just thought I'd let you all know that just about every piece of electronic equipment or gadget I have is on the blink! Lets start with the "check engine" light that wont go away despite going to the shop a few times and then theres the good ol cell phone that doesnt work in my house and sends & receives text messages whenever its NOT convenient. The computer, hmmmm. Where to start, well thats easy enough right? Wrong. The Word program is not working even though its been uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired and has had a remote tech guy log into it. And then my beloved printer or is it the Publisher program that wont allow graphics to be flipped for printing. And last but not least, my camera that won't let me download pictures of last weekend's Vintage Marketplace. Oh and I forgot how pictures & text come and go from Blogger and Facebook. Lets just say its going to be a long night and a very long Friday! Ugh.....
I'll be here under the mess!
