Closed due to the Flu!

After a month of my boys passing colds back and forth that led to both having sinus infections, we are now hit by the flu. Its going to be a tough week. My husband has a busy work schedule so he wont be able to help. The feature in Romantic homes has had my phone ringing off the hook(which I am very thankful for the new business) and Jim the caterpillar is still misssing! Do you think the cat ate him?

I was just informed that mommy cant hang a closed sign up.

Hopefully, we will all be back to normal in time for Easter.

Gotta run, Ive got one holding a bowl, ugh!

Boy Meets Caterpillar!

Boy meets caterpillar. His name is "Jim".

Jim likes apples and grass.

The boy and Jim are very good friends. They read together, share secrets and go for rides in the car. One day the boy decides that Jim needs a caterpillar friend. He finds "Lucy" waiting in the yard.

Jim and Lucy become jar mates. One day the boy decides that Jim and Lucy cant see the t.v. very well from inside the jar. So the boy lets them sit on his lap and watch a show together. All three are very happy. Jim decides he wants to play hide and seek. But he forgets to tell Lucy and the boy to look for him. So mommy and daddy look for him...........

To be continued!

Amazing Talent

Its so hard to keep secrets! Finally I can share the news with you...
Elyse's blog is featured in the May issue of Romantic Homes. I am so happy for her. I found out last week and called her immediately and was thrilled that I got to share the news with her first! I've been dying to post about it but I thought she should be the first to let her readers know.
Here is an example of her amazing handmade things. I love red & green together
(Elyse I thought you would make me keep the secret forever, lol.) If you dont know Elyse, visit her at Cottage. Her blog is so charming!

I would like to introduce you to another talented  lady...

This beautiful cake top is the work of my friend Candy.

If this was on top of my cake I wouldn't mind another birthday!

Aren't these cupcake picks adoreable?

I love these tags.

This banner is to die for! Candy also designs packaging for small businesses.
You can see more of her handmade creations on her etsy site: Acquired Charm.

Congratulations to Elyse for being featured and to Candy for opening your Etsy store! Good luck ladies, I love you both. You are truly treasures!

The "New Booth" makes its debut....
I completey forgot to bring my camera on setup day so here it is after 3 days and 8,000 people rummaged through it!

Since several of you asked how it turned out I thought I had better share it and not leave you wondering what I did with that crazy mess of doors in the last post!

To make a new booth for the Sugar Plum Show....

I just love chippy old paint.....

What Ails Ya, Baby?

I have a little confession.....I had the housewife meltdown!
Mmm Hmmm!

No, you did'nt? Yes, I did!

Remember when I said I had a few lemons to deal with lately? Well they were particularly sour. It should'nt have bothered me, really not a life or death situation, no. But when this, that and the other came along I found myself crumble like an over baked cookie. I was flying high, 'ya know that sweet spot that comes along ever so rarely where everything is so perfect(for the record, my life has been full of tragedy so I relish those rare sweet spot moments)(maybe more on that in another post) I had just told a confidante that I felt so on top of the world and so focused and clear on my objectives and then without warning... WHAM! And I find myself staring at the ceiling and a whole pan of brownies has not cured me. Perhaps I will divulge the details at some point but at least for now it makes a good setup to my point. Did you notice the "Remedies" picture up there? I like that little collection of bottles so much I put it on my sidebar, then I realised how perfect it is for this post.

Remedy: to cure or relieve; to put right or rectify.

Ya know what cures an ailment? Friends! Yep. My sweet friend Candy sent me this lovely little email and I just have to share it with you so you can pass this on to someone you love.

 Loving Lord,
The women reading this are resourceful, loving and strong. Please help them live their lives to the fullest. Please promote them and cause them to excel beyond their expectations. Help them shine in the darkest places where it is impossible to love. Protect them at all times, lift them up when they need you the most, and let them know when they walk with you, they will always be safe.

It is with your grace and love that we pray...Amen

Who do you know that needs to hear that?

So my lovely blogland friends, I pray this for each of you.

Hugs,
